Apparently August is Video Game Bear Awareness month. Not only are Bears fighting against Hitler and his nefarious meth labs, but Exordium Games has now released episode one of Bear With Me, a point-and-click noire adventure game about a 10-year-old girl and her teddy bear.
Amber and her bear, Ted E. Bear, set out to find her missing brother, and also encounter deeper mysteries. A recent rumor suggest someone called the Red Man is starting fires across Paper City, the monochromatic make-believe world where her friends reside.
To crack the case, our hard-boiled 10-year old detective must discover clues, cleverly solve puzzles, and interview a cast of toys brought to life by her own imagination.
Amber’s decisions in Bear With Me affect the story and fate of its characters. The game’s story changes depending upon her decisions you make, as do the fate of various characters. And some of those decisions may not always be easy.
“Bear With Me combines the story-telling of classic detective movies with the formula of today’s most popular films. We’ve spent years crafting an experience accessible to the whole family, but with sharp wit, cutting one-liners and pop culture references that only an adult will truly appreciate.”
—Andrej Kovacevic | Game Director | Exordium Games
Episode one of Bear With Me is available on Steam and the HumbleStore for $4.99 USD. The game features a full English voiceover as well as French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian subtitles.
